Overview
Bulletin is essentially a bulletin board to facilitate entrepreneurship at UT. Making the connections between university creators and talented students simple, easy, and potentially long-lasting.
The Problem
Entrepreneurial-minded students at UT are unable to connect with other students in order to move potential startups forward. At the same time, students who want to work for a start-up are unable to find the experience they need to work with one. This is a major pain point that has been discovered for a lot of students on campus. With such a large student population, it is difficult for the right students to meet each other without a means to facilitate the connection.
User Research
Hearing the voices and generating feedback from UT students who are part of Blackstone Launchpad and have demonstrated interest in creating a startup, we created a platform where any student can use this application as easily as a bulletin board. We gathered data directly from Blackstone Launchpad, specifically getting numbers on how many students are in each stage of the startup process and interviewing startup mentors to figure out what the user pain points were. We also ran a survey on campus for 100+ students to generate insight on interest and potential features to develop.
The Solution
Bulletin is a central hub, or, bulletin board, for UT entrepreneurs to connect with each other and facilitate the creation of amazing projects/startups. Bulletin makes it easy to post exciting work opportunities or tell the public that you have talent for hire. It is a two-sided marketplace that makes finding team members easy through talent and opportunity listings.
